Some packaging or labelling or branding materials can have their MOQs and those MOQs are referred as trims MOQs.

For example - Let us say you are making womens denim jeans and you want a specific type of embossing on the button with your brand name.

You meet the Fabric MOQs : say 2,000 pcs

You meet the production MOQs : say 500 pcs x 4 Styles in the same fabric

Yet - the button MOQs can be 10,000 pcs.

Since trims are not a very major component in terms of costing for a majority of apparel products, so there are work-arounds to overocome such bottleneck.

One common work around that we use at Hula Global for trims MOQ, especially when we get stuck under the MOQs, we order the MOQs for the branding material or trims and get the amount reimbursed from the brand.

We re-use the trims and branding material for future orders.

In the above example, we will get the buttons for 10,000 pcs and use 2000 pcs in the current production cycle and use the remaining in future for this brand.
